Conjoined Twins Headed To Different Colleges Three Hours Apart
How could 19-year-old Caitlyn and Emily Copeland possibly be heading to different colleges three-hours apart?
After all, Caitlyn and Emily were born conjoined at the chest. They shared a liver and a chest bone.
The answer is, doctors were able to successfully perform surgery on this set of conjoined twins when they were just 10-months old.
These delightful girls have lived a relatively normal, healthy life growing up in Houston, Texas.
The Austin American-Statesman says like most twins, they still have done most things together.
They were even co-valedictorians at their high school.
College seemed like the right time to spread their wings.
Emily is studying hotel management and hospitality at the University of Houston.
Caitlyn is three hours away, a sophomore at Concordia University where she’s studying education.
Best of all, it looks like these formerly conjoined twins have blossomed into lovely young women.
