Bride Shares Dance With Man Who Saved Her Life From Cancer
There are wedding dances and then their are wedding dances.
When bride Greta Hokanson was getting married last month in Minnesota, she and her groom, Tony, knew there was one person who had to be on the invite list.
This story goes back to 2006 when Greta was 15-years-old and diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia.
No one in her immediate family was a match for a bone marrow transplant which doctors said would be Greta’s best hope for survival.
KMSP-TV reports that doctors headed to the National Bone Marrow Registry where they found Danny Daniels. He was a total stranger serving in the Air National Guard serving in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
He agreed to undergo the grueling procedure which took place in March 2007.
It was a success!
They agreed to meet a year later and have stayed in touch through Facebook ever since.
Fast forward to this year when Greta was engaged to marry.
She and her fiance’ came up with the idea of inviting Danny and his wife and asking him if he would be willing to have a special dance with the bride.
He would be honored.
Greta picked the perfect song–Alabama’s “Angels Among Us.”
No one can tell this story better than Greta, herself/

I just have to share that I’m working from my local Panera today and I’m sitting here in a booth bawling my eyes out every time I watch this story and “Angels Among Us” comes up on the video.
I’m a mess!
