Strangers Get Gifts From Commuters In Wonderful Christmas Kindness Experiment

Strangers get the gift of kindness in a wonderful Christmas experiment in a British shopping mall.

It starts with a giant box in the middle of Grand Central in Birmingham, England.

The sign above reads, “Free Presents.”

Plenty of commuters are intrigued enough to pick up the phone.

Much to their surprise, they find themselves talking to someone who sounds very much like Santa Claus, himself.

That’s when the real fun and kindness begins.

There are free presents, alright.

With a twist.

The Birmingham Mail talked to some of the folks who took part in giving their gift away to strangers.

Thuy Nguyen took part in the experiment and said: “When I realised the gift was meant for someone else, I was surprised.

“But seeing the gentleman’s reaction when he opened the scarf was wonderful. Being able to bring a little happiness to someone I had never met before was a lovely feeling and what Christmas should be all about.”
