Year-Old Pothole Gets Birthday Card From Frustrated Resident

All you have to do is think of the pothole on your own city street and understand Eddie Prosser’s frustration.

He’s had pothole on his street in Jackson, Mississippi for a long time.

Too long.

He’s tried a number of times to call the city to come out and fix it.

When more than a year had gone by, Eddie went with the old adage–

If you can’t beat’em, make’em laugh.

He put a birthday card and balloons on a placard around the pothole.

Well, played, Eddie!

KXAN-TV has the story.

Here’s hoping Eddie has a really good, long-lasting sense of humor.

Despite all the publicity around the country, the City of Jackson has yet to come out and fix the silly and growing pothole.

All of which might not qualify for uplifting, but I have to smile and salute a guy like Eddie who is handling life’s frustrations with a good laugh.
