Artist Celebrates How Female Olympians Show Beautiful Women’s Bodies Come In Many Sizes
Looks like if one artist has her way, female Olympians will give us all a great reminder that strong, beautiful women’s bodies come in many shapes and sizes.
Wendy Fox first got the idea while watching the 2012 Olympics in London. She noticed that these champions came in so many shapes and sizes, that they were beautiful and strong in their own way, depending on their sport.
She collected information and stats on the 276 women who won gold medals in London and created a poster illustrating the different bodies types.
In case you’re wondering, The Chicago Tribune says that means the shortest who was Chinese gymnast, Deng LinLin to the tallest, American basketball player, Sylvia Fowles.
Check out her work and the poster.
Shoot, forget only our daughters.
All we women need to see this.
To realize this.
What is true beauty, power and strength?
Wendy Fox explains in her own words.
You can order your poster in advance and/or support Wendy in her quest here on her Kickstarter page.
And you can have fun on her website, plugging in different stats and find a female Olympian to inspire you.
