Delta Airlines Makes Crazy Travel Delays Easier To Swallow With Pizza Delivery

When nasty storms caused a ground stop at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Delta Airlines ordered hundreds of pizzas to deliver to tired, frustrated travelers.

United Airlines could take some PR and customer service lessons here.

Delta Airlines knows it’s been one crazy, frustrating travel week for Atlanta.

First, there was the collapse of I 85, making driving incredibly tough throughout the city.

Wednesday, intense storms across the Southeast caused a ground stop for hours canceling about 300 flights and leaving some folks stranded sitting on planes.

The airline couldn’t make the weather clear up, but they could order pizza!

WSB-TV reports the airline ordered more than 450 boxes of pizza for several passengers at airports in Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Ohio, Kentucky and other states with canceled or delayed flights affected by the storms.

Talk about a great PR move.

The act of kindness had folks buzzing about pizza on social media.
