Family’s Blessing Fence Offers Scarves And Coats To Help Keep Strangers Warm

Lynda Salisbury of Goshen Indiana and her family tie scarves and other warm items around their front fence that anyone can come get to help stay warm.

This story about a fence warmed my heart.

Which is the idea.

Warmth.

Helping.

One family Goshen, Indiana looking out at the world.

The same world we all see.

The same overwhelming amount of need we all see.

And instead of shutting down.

Instead of saying, “What do I possibly have to give?”

“How can I possibly help?”

“How could I make a dent?”

Instead of listening to that same tape that runs through all of our heads.

Instead of that.

Lynda Goshen took a few scarves,

Blankets,

Extra coats,

And left them in front of their home.

Warmies.

And a sign.

“Take what you need. Leave the rest.

May you always feel warm, cozy and blessed!”

That simple.

Then, they had a front row seat to let the miracles happen.

Fox 8 Cleveland has this story.

The family has started a Facebook page so that others can get inspired in doing acts of kindness.

They share updates and the kindness coming from strangers who want to help restock the Blessing Fence.
