College Graduate Who Couldn’t Find A Job Creates Singing Resume
Nothing like a singing resume to sing your own praises.
That’s what one recent college graduate has figured out.
Page Kemna has been looking for a job in sales in marketing since graduating from the University of Denver.
When tons of online applications didn’t pan out, Kemna got creative.
Her video is going viral.
Shaul Turner of Denver’s Fox 31 has her story.
Showing that not every story has a neat ending, Kemna has not yet found the exact job she was looking for when she first posted her singing resume.
However, it might be that she’s created even more opportunity for herself than even she envisioned.
She posted this update on her LinkedIn profile March 16th:
“Morning LinkedIn 🙂 A lot of people are wondering why I’m still not “employed” yet… Well, since the resume song went viral, some really really wild stuff has been happening, such as meetings/calls to discuss music/singing/songwriting/production with executives from BMI(Broadcast Music Inc.), WME (William Morris Endeavor) and BGM (Brian Graden Media), as well as a number of other Nashville-based companies/artists. Everyone involved has been kind enough to offer opportunities and discuss possibilities, as well as connect me with all the right people. It feels like big things are happening ❤ SO… I don’t have a full-time job yet… but it’s sort of for a reason. The resume song triggered a slew of interview offers and potential jobs, which was amazing and appreciated… but it also triggered some much bigger projects/opportunities that I’m still trying to wrap my head around.💕 I still have my part time position and when I’m not working there, I’m constantly “working” to find the right moves and direction, and talking to as many people as I can about what’s next. It’s an exciting time. #linkedin #yourstrength”
Keep it up, Page!
With your creativity, drive, and good vibes, I know great things are ahead!
