Singing Sheryl Crow Songs Helped Student With Autism Learn To Speak And Now He Meets Her

Noah Jack Cummins couldn't speak as a child. He has autism. He learned to speak by singing Sheryl Crow songs. He recently got to meet her.

Singer Sheryl Crow performs the kind of songs you kind of can’t help singing along to.

This story goes beyond a “feel good” sing along.

USA Today reports Belmont University student Noah Jack Cummins recently got the chance to meet Crow and share with her an incredible story.

He was diagnosed with autism as a young boy.

He didn’t speak.

He didn’t make much noise at all.

But Crow’s songs unlocked his world.

He learned to speak by singing her songs.

Here is their wonderful story.

Cummins was particularly taken with Crow’s song, “Picture,” her duet with Kid Rock.
