7-Eleven Owner’s Shocking Move Of Kindness After Catching Teen Shoplifter In His Store
Customers are inspired after teen shoplifter tells 7-Eleven owner he was stealing candy because he and his brother are hungry.
A teen shoplifter made a 7-Eleven store owner do something unsuspecting customers still can’t believe.
WTVG-TV in Toledo, Ohio says a store clerk gave owner Jitendra Singh a heads up last weekend that a suspicious person was stuffing items in his pockets.
Singh came out from the back room, confronted the teenager and gave him an ultimatum. Singh told him to take everything out of his pockets or he would call the cops.
You can see the teenager complying on the security cam footage. As he did, he said something that shattered all who could hear.
“He said, ‘I’m stealing for myself. I’m hungry, and I’m doing it for my younger brother,'” Singh says.
That’s when the store owner did something folks are still talking about.
Singh said, “Well that’s not food. You’re stealing gum and candies. That’s just something for munching. If you’re hungry, ask me. I’ll give you food.”
Singh sent the young man back through the aisles of the store, having him pick up chicken, sausages, and a whole pizza.
Sound amazing? Not so much to the people who know Singh.
The customers who happen to be in this 7-Eleven store are singing Singh’s praises on social media.
