Beloved ER Doctor Gets Hero Sendoff After Surviving Coronavirus At His New Jersey Hospital

ER Doctor James Pruden is a longtime community health leader and now a survivor

ER specialist Dr. James Pruden was given a hero’s sendoff in New Jersey from St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, the very hospital where he works and leads staff.

Doctors diagnosed Dr. Pruden with the coronavirus over a month ago.

His hospital’s staff has been treating him in their ICU.

Staff members held up heart signs saying, “We Love You, Dr. Pruden — Heroes Work Here.”as Dr. James Pruden is released a month after being diagnosed with coronavirus.

Tuesday, he was recovered enough to go home and the entire hospital wanted him to know how much they love him.

‘I implore every health care worker across New Jersey to keep the faith and stay strong. You are giving everything — for people just like me. You are truly our heroes.’

Dr. Pruden released a statement, “Your care made the difference for me and enabled me to beat this virus. I implore every health care worker across New Jersey to keep the faith and stay strong. You are giving everything — for people just like me. You are truly our heroes.”

Paterson Fire Chief told NorthJersey.com, “For all of the firefighters and all the health care workers, it was a huge morale boost to see Dr. Pruden, who has helped so many people over the years, be able to get the help he needed. He’s become a shining example that we can beat this virus.”

Even the governor of New Jersey is celebrating Dr. Pruden’s recovery.
