Black Sororities’ ‘Stroll To The Polls’ Video Celebrates Voting #strolltothepolls

Stroll to the polls
Members of the ‘Divine Nine‘ Black sororities have the most fun video going viral as they encourage people to vote in the upcoming election.
#strolltothepolls says it all.
The Divine Nine
The AJC reports members Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. participated.
They strolled in front of backdrops around Atlanta.
This picture of sorority sisters strolling to the polls is giving me life. There’d be some cosmic-sized karma if fierce Black queens helped bring down a racist misogynist and elect the first Black woman VP.

Good luck tonight, @KamalaHarris. You got an army behind you. pic.twitter.com/HcOC8ZOQTc
Lizzo‘s “Like A Girl” plays in the background.
Choreographer Maisha Land found nine inspiring murals around Atlanta for backdrops. The moves include personalized movements from each sorority’s stroll.
Most famous soror of all
Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris is probably the most famous sorority sister in the US right now. She pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha when she was a student at Howard University.
Women of Color sororities were just given a shout-out by The View co-host Ana Navarro. She was responding to Hot Topic question about Senator Kamala debating VP Pence tonight.#StrollToThePolls #TheDivine9 pic.twitter.com/QmzNAzsI1D

Images from the video have gone viral. Actress Kerry Washington retweeted it. And the women of “The View” were excited about it last week, as well.
Mario Eugene Page of Mario Page Photography gets credit for the eye-catching photo.
