Photographer Makes Elaborate Hats For His Cats Out Of Their Shedded Fur

Photographer makes cat hats out of their own shedded fur.

Shedded fur cat hats have to be their weirdest, most delightful thing I’ve seen in a long time

I can’t begin to understand why someone would have the inspiration to create cat hats out of shedded fur.

But I’m so glad photographer Ryo Yamazaki and his wife got the quirky inspiration several years ago.

Apparently, he was brushing his cats, looked at the clump of fur and his wife saw art.

Or the potential for art.

They made the first of what have come to be known as Nukege hats.

Nukege is the Japanese word for shed fur or hair, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Japanese is a superior language since it has a word to describe what we only say in English, “Where’s the lint roller?” or “Better not wear black pants at my house.”

He shares his cats and their hats on his Instagram feed.

Yamazaki claims the cats don’t mind wearing the quirky hats because they are very lightweight and since they are made of the cat’s fur, they have the same smell.

Would your cat wear these hats? Please share in the Comments section below.
