Chef Does Awesome Thing With Prize He Wins On Food Network Show

Chef John Conley knows what it is to run a winning restaurant.

That’s what he does with Sala Brava in Flagstaff, Arizona.

He also knows what it is to win on national television.

He recently took home $16,000 from competing on Guy’s Grocery Games hosted by Guy Fieri.

There’s always something that a small business owner can do with extra cash.

From the moment he started competing on the show, John knew what he would do if he won.

He has donated his proceeds to The Special Olympics.

And just like adding yeast to dough, Chef John figured out a way to make his donation grow.

He made the money a matching donation. So far, it has helped raise more than $30,000.

This interview on ABC15 with John and his son, Adam, shows why The Special Olympics have such a big place in their family.
