Cleaner Ocean? 21-Year-Old Just Might Have The Answer
Ocean lover Boyan Slat is on a mission.
To clean up the vast waters of the world.
And by plastic, he’s talking about millions of tons of plastic littering the vast oceans of the world.
He told the BBC he first came up with his life mission while swimming off the coast of Greece when he was a teenager.
He’s now 21 and heading up a huge project along the coast of Hawaii.
What’s his plan?
Why did people tell him he’s nuts?
Boyan invited NBC News along for the mission.
