Clint Eastwood Makes Wildlife Lovers’ Day-Donates His Land To Public Space
Superstar Clint Eastwood is making the day of wildlife and conservation lovers near his hometown of Carmel, California.
The Monterey Herald reports that Eastwood and his former wife, Maggie, have donated 79 acres of land to the Big Sur Land Trust.
The new donation will help rebuild restore the Carmel River floodplain and habitat.
The couple haven’t been married since the 80’s, but the newspaper says they still do business together.
This is the second time their trusts have made a donation to this restoration project. They made an earlier 49-acre donation back in 1997.
Monterey County District Supervisor Dave Potter says folks will be able to pass through native wetlands, repopulated with indigenous plants and animals, presenting a recreational, educational and environmental opportunity not likely seen anywhere else.
