Longtime “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek shared an emotional moment right after taping what surely must’ve been one of his final shows.
Winning contestant Burt Thakur delivered a “Thank you!” long in the making.
Thakur shared he learned English as a little boy while sitting on his grandfather’s lap watching the game show and Trebek.
“Here’s a true story, man. I learned English because of you.”

Alex wasn’t just the best ever at what he did. He was also a lovely and deeply decent man, and I’m grateful for every minute I got to spend with him. pic.twitter.com/CdHCcbqmp2
