Hot Firefighter Adopts Dog He Posed With For Calendar
As if there is not enough to love about firefighters.
Some especially hot ones have gone above and beyond for rescue animals in Charleston, South Carolina.
For the few couple of years, local firefighters have posed to raise money for Toby’s Fund, an animal rescue organization that funds medical care for injured and abused animals.
Rob Tacket posed for this year’s Charleston Animal Society Calendar holding Kimber, a German Shepard puppy.
People Magazine reports that Kimber already belonged to Steve Hall, a veeteran who had served three tours of Iraq and Afghanistan as an elite Marine sniper.
Kimber was helping Steve with his severe PTSD symptoms.
Tacket and Hall became good friends after the photo shoot.
Sadly, Hall’s health took a bad turn over the summer putting him the hospital for a number of surgeries.
He began to see he couldn’t take proper care of Kimber.
There was only one choice in his eyes.
Tacket was all in.
He told People, “I love that dog,” he says. “She is an incredibly special dog, I’ve never been around a dog like her. Just being around her makes everything easier.”
Kimber is certified as a PTSD therapy dog.
The plan is to get her some more training and bring her around veterans to help spread the joy that is Kimber.
