Two Jurors Get Life Sentence, Marrying After They Fall In Love During Jury Duty

Jurors Kris and Sarah Gerig met and fell in love during jury duty and then asked the judge who presided over the trial to marry them.

Two jurors came up with the same verdict after serving jury duty in New Orleans.

They were both guilty of falling in love.

Kris and Sarah Gerig met in 2015 while serving on a jury in a contractor fraud case.

It appears it was love at first voir dire.

Leave it to the judge presiding over the trial to sentence them to life.

They asked Judge Robin Pittman to preside over their wedding.

WGNO has their story.

Sarah loves having fun with their “How We Met” story.

“I like just telling people we met at criminal court, and then going on to say it was jury duty.”

Here’s to a lifetime of smiles and the chance to tell that story over and over.
