Tiny Koala Becomes Unexpected Mate For Australian Water Tanker Driver Fighting Bush Fires

Impossible to pick the cutest picture of this tiny koala and his new truck driver friend
A tiny koala found just the mate he needed in water tanker driver Damian Campbell-davys.
Campbell-davys was working the Australian bush fire in the town of Nerriga when he saw the adorable fuzzball.

The little guy must’ve sized up Campbell-davys as a worthy mate, because he adopted him right away, climbing up into the cab of Campbell-davys’ truck.
The driver told the Sydney Morning Herald, “After the horrors of yesterday, it just made my day. A little ray of sunshine in this nightmare.”

Campbell-davys and his workmates decided to give their new friend a rather cheeky name. They started calling him, “Tinny Arse,” while they waited for a wildlife rescuer to show up to transport the little guy.
Campbell-davys told the newspaper the name was after his lucky friend, Liz, who always wins at the races.
“This one was also a winner – fires were burning around him on both sides.”

Here’s how you can help Australian wildlife.
