Not sure who was more excited. Glad she remembers me after a year! pic.twitter.com/sScVXHMHJn— Christina H Koch (@Astro_Christina) February 13, 2020
NASA astronaut Christina Koch knows the feeling of greatness.
She’s just back from making history.
By spending 328 days aboard the international space station, Koch broke the record for the longest time spent in space by a woman.
She also became one half of the first-ever all-woman spacewalk.
From inside the @Space_Station, @astro_luca snapped these #spacewalk photos, capturing a moment of teamwork that I will never forget. Halfway through another power channel of battery changes and looking forward to finishing up next week! pic.twitter.com/stZCsnyPNJ— Christina H Koch (@Astro_Christina) January 16, 2020
I can only imagine the thrill those accomplishments brought.
She landed last week.
This journey has been everyone’s journey. Thank you to all involved in the success of our mission, and for giving me the opportunity to carry everyone’s dreams into space. I’m filled with gratitude to be back on the planet! pic.twitter.com/Mo2pk152vv— Christina H Koch (@Astro_Christina) February 6, 2020
Then, there’s this.
This amazing, joyful dog reunion.
Getting to see her beloved dog, Sadie Lou, when she made it home to Texas.
It was a reunion so epic, Koch had to share the video on Twitter.
And she’s right.
Impossible to tell who is more excited: her or Sadie Lou.
Welcome home, Astronaut Koch.
Whether high above Earth or as a down-to-earth dog human, you simply rock.
