Newborn Saves Life Of Her Mother In A Near-Fatal Coma
A coma is the last thing Shelly Cawley expected when she went in to give birth to her daughter.
Yet, a lot went very wrong during the c-section to deliver baby Rylan.
USAToday reports that doctors believe Shelly had a blood clot in her leg that traveled to her lungs.
She went into a deep coma, and frankly, doctors were not very hopeful.
Then a nurse came up with a brilliant idea.
She understood the incredibly powerful connection between mother and child.
Staff nurse Ashley Manus says she is now a 100% believer in miracles.
The WashingtonPost.com also has a great write up on the Cawley’s story.
