News Photographer Gives Away His Shoes In True Act Of Kindness

News photographer Jerome Akintunde doesn’t want you to know what he has done
News photographer Jerome Akintunde doesn’t want attention for this beautiful act of kindness.
You’ll be glad reporter Reagan Ledbetter thought differently.
The two men work for News on 6 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
They were wrapping up a live shot Tuesday morning when Ledbetter noticed Akintunde was taking a moment to clean up.
He shares what he realized he was witnessing on Facebook.
Ledbetter writes that he thought, at first, that Akintunde was just throwing out a piece of trash.
But then Ledbetter noticed Akintunde had come back to their car without his shoes on.
In 25-degree weather!
He looks at me and says ‘He needed them more than me. It’s cold out here.’

Ledbetter’s post has already been shared more than 2,000 times on Facebook.
That makes me so glad.
Akintunde and Ledbetter–these are the kind of people I know who make up “The Media” so many people seem to like to trash.
Good, hardworking people working crazy hours to bring you and me information.
People who would literally give you the shirt off their backs, or in this case the shoes off their feet, even in freezing weather.
