Professor Insists Young Mom Bring Her Newborn Son With Her To Class

Professor Dr. Josie Ryan insisted new mother Sarah Thompson bring her newborn son with her to math class so that the new mom would be able to keep up with school and not dropout.

Having a newborn and going for your college degree.

It doesn’t sound like an easy match.

It certainly has its challenges.

One college student, Sarah Thompson, started a math course at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina, just days before she was due to give birth.

Professor Josie Ryan wanted to do everything she could to support her student and keep her from dropping out.

So a week before Sarah’s due date, Dr. Ryan told her to bring her baby with her on a regular basis when she came back to class.

Sarah came back to school soon after baby Isaiah was born.

She was reluctant to take Dr. Ryan up on her offer.

It wasn’t too soon before the morning came where things were just to hectic but to bring the baby with her.

Was Dr. Ryan sincere?

The photo tells the story.

So does Sarah’s Facebook post which has gone viral.

Inside Edition also did a good job telling this sweet story of kindness.
