Quarantined Italians Sing From Their Balconies To Raise Their Spirits & Ours

Quarantined Italians sing showing the power of song during these trying times
Quarantined Italians are going to what they know soothes the soul–the power of music.
The country is in lockdown to try to quell the spread of the coronavirus which has ravaged the country.
And so, Italians are taking to their balconies. They are singing familiar songs and harmonizing with neighbors they might actually have never met.
Here is one of the first posts of many to social media.

The song is Canto della Verbena, a popular patriotic folk song. It means, “And While Siena Sleeps.”
Here is another one, which means, “Hug Me.”
Italy. People locked inside turn to their windows and balconies singing so everyone feels less lonely. Here is #Naples singing “Abbracciame” (Hug me). #Coronavirus #CoronavirusUSA pic.twitter.com/DHVPvxbB8d

Couldn’t we all use a virtual hug about now?
The Guardian reports that Italians have come up with an unofficial slogan to get through these challenging times.
“andrà tutto bene”
-‘Everything will be all right’
“Andrà tutto bene.”
It means everything will be all right.
We can do this, Friends.
Let’s keep taking care of each other.
