Rare Baby Owls Watch TV With Man After Mama Builds Nest Outside His Apartment Window
Shocked man first thought the baby owls were pigeons
Rare baby owls are delighting a man in Belgium.
BNNVARA reports Jos Baart thought pesky pigeons were once again building a nest outside his third story apartment.
He was in for a huge surprise.
Those were no pigeons.
They are rare eagle-owls, the largest owl in all of Europe. They tend to be shy birds so they are rarely photographed in the wild.
This amazing nature show has come direct to Baart.
Even better, the chicks are curious and engaging. They like to interact with him.
When he watches television they three chicks pop up and watch along with him through his apartment window.
The chicks hatched on Easter Sunday. Bird experts say the babies will probably leave the nest after four months.
Baart says he will be delighted if any of them return to nest next year.
