Real Estate Company Surprises 198 Employees With $10 Million Holiday Bonus

St. John Properties employees had no idea the huge surprise waiting in their red envelopes
It’s the holiday bonus that no employee at St. John Properties will ever forget.
Company leaders gathered with employees Saturday in Baltimore for their annual holiday party.
That’s where company founder, Edward St. John, announced that the company had a banner year in 2019.
He wants everyone to share in that success.

So the company created a $10 million holiday bonus fund to be split among the company’s 198 employees.
How much did each employee get?
There was a formula based on years of service.

The average bonus was $50,000!
Some longterm employees are getting as much as $250,000!
But wait, there’s more.
The company says this bonus is in addition to the company’s annual year-end bonus, as well as other benefits, which include 401(k) with matching, profit sharing, and paid vacation time.

Since founding St. John Properties nearly 50 years ago, Edward St. John has built the company from a team of two employees, into one of the Mid-Atlantic region’s largest and most successful privately-held commercial real estate companies.
