Santa Grants Wish Making Soldier Dad Appear For Little Girl

Soldier dad is thankful Santa helped his little girl believe in magic
Hard to imagine a better present than one soldier dad made happen with the help of some Santa magic.
Frank Cordero, aka, “Papi” is featured in a video on USA TODAY.
You see his little girl, Ella, making a visit to Santa Claus at a local mall.
“Did you get the letter I sent you?” Ella asks Santa.
“For a sleigh ride?” Santa replies.
“For my Papi!” Ella clarifies.
“Yeah, your Papi. I got it right here,” Santa clues in as he pulls Ella’s letter out of his vest pocket.
Ella’s one wish was for Santa to bring her father home on his sleigh.
Santa looks over the drawing with Ella. “That’s your Papi. Your name’s Ella.”

At this point in the video, Papi starts to appear over Ella’s shoulder. But she’s so focused on Santa and then on having her picture taken that she doesn’t notice.
In a later interview, a woman who appears to be Ella’s grandmother says, “They talked about Christmas magic and asked her to turn around. She first turned around to take the picture.”
“Do you want to see more Santa magic?” Santa asks Ella.
When she nods, “Yes,” he tells her to turn around again.
Her exclamation says it all.
“DADDY!”

Cordero later told USA TODAY, “It also made me happy to have her believe that there is real kind of magic in the world. That she could actually believe that Santa has her back. For me it’s all about making her happy and keeping her imagination open.”

I don’t know about you, but I could watch reunion videos all day long. Throw in some holiday magic, and well, I’m a goner.
