Starbucks Opens Its First Signing Store In The U.S.
Second Signing Store In The World For Starbucks
You’ve seen a lot of Starbucks stores, but never one like this.
Starbucks has opened a new store in Washington, D.C. where are the employees are fluent in American Sign Language.
The company says the store is the first of its kind in the United States. It is down the street from Galludet University, a bilingual (English and ASL) institution for Deaf and hard of hearing students. It was inspired by a similar store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that opened in 2016.
Starbucks posted a video tour of the new DC store on their Facebook page.
