Teenager Uses Lego To Build His Own Prosthetic Arm

Teenager David Aguilar has built his own prosthetic arm using Lego plastic building blocks.

18-year-old David Aguilar has been Lego obsessed since he was a little boy.

He has always loved building things with the little plastic blocks.

The usual little boy stuff–helicopters, boats, buildings.

Never mind that he was born without a fully formed right arm.

That never stopped David.

In fact, it inspired him to go for his most inspiring Lego projects.

He built himself a prosthetic arm.

And then another one.

He calls his invention, “MK2.”

See how it works.

Brilliance by the young man who calls himself, “Hand Solo.”

Brilliance, creativity, and a sense of humor.

I like this kid.

So did the folks at Great Big Story.

What was your favorite toy growing up?
