Twitter Will Let Employees Work From Home Forever

Twitter email tells employees they will be able to work from home as long as they want
Twitter now says it will let employees continue to work from home even after the coronavirus lockdown situation subsides.
The company sent an email to its employees today bringing them up to date on company policies.
The biggest take-away–If you’re an employee who wants to keep working from home even after company offices reopen, then have at it.
“We’ve been very thoughtful in how we’ve approached this from the time we were one of the first companies to move to a work-from-home model,” a Twitter spokesperson told BuzzFeed News. “We’ll continue to be, and we’ll continue to put the safety of our people and communities first.”
Among other interesting items in the email to employees:
- Company offices will remain closed through September.
- Business-related travel remains pretty much banned.
- Twitter has canceled all in-person events for the rest of 2020.
Looks like there will be plenty of empty office space in Silicon Valley. Forbes reports Google and Facebook are allowing employees to work from home until the end of the 2020.
Amazon and Microsoft extended their work-from-home until the end of October.

What do you think? Which do you prefer? Going into an office? Or working from home? So many factors to consider.
