Rattlesnake Bites Groom During Wedding Shoot
A rattlesnake biting your groom while your taking your wedding photos might not seem like the most uplifting of stories, but I’m sharing it because nothing like this to see how a new couple will weather the storms that come everyone’s way.
The Today Show reports newlyweds Johnny Benson and Laura Loretz did what so many couples do–they went to take photos between their ceremony and their reception.
The photographer knew just the perfect place–a reservoir near their favorite hiking trail.
That’s when the unwelcome guest made his move.
Photographer Maddie Mae Wilbur says it all happened pretty fast when they were about 50 feet from the parking.
The snake jumped out, bit, and rattled away.
Luckily for everyone, there was a park ranger standing nearby.
I like this story for the good outcome, the young couple’s good attitude and wedding pictures that are certainly one of a kind.
Moral of the story–don’t marry a snake, don’t invite one to your wedding, and hold on tight to each other when life bites you in the you know what.
