Now Separated Conjoined Twins Excited To Start School

Formerly conjoined twins Ruby and Rosie Formosa are ready to start school.

Doctors were not optimistic when Ruby and Rosie Formosa were born as conjoined twins four years ago.

The tiny girls were born connected at their abdomens and shared one intestine.

Doctors gave them a 25% chance of survival.

The girls’ parents could hardly imagine this week, when their daughters would be smiling, giggly girls ready to go to school for the first time.

The Guardian has the story as these precious girls get ready to launch the next big chapter of their lives from Kent, England.

The twins’ mother tells The Independent that her youngest daughters are looking forward to joining big sister, Lily, at school.

She says she knew the girls personalities from the moment doctors discovered their life-threatening condition early in her pregnancy.

“They are very similar… headstrong and very determined, which I knew they were from when they were in my belly because of the way they kept growing and surviving.”
